Rovos Rail is a private company operating out of their own Edwardian-styled station in Pretoria. Some routes operate with a vintage steam locomotive, giving you a very unique travel experience. Rest, relaxation and indulgence awaits as you step aboard Rovos Rails’ reconditioned wood-panelled trains and enjoy fine cuisine and travel in opulent style with friendly staff looking after every detail of your trip. The train features air conditioned lounge cars, beautiful dining cars with an ambiance created by a Victorian setting of crisp linen, sparkling glass and silver, and observation car with outside deck (which allows passengers the amazing experience of being outside whilst the train is moving) and 3 different standards of accommodation graded suites in their accommodation cars and stops at places of interest on all routes.
There are three styles that guests can choose from (Royal, Deluxe, Pullman), with varying levels of luxury. Every Suite offers all modern conveniences and comfort, with fittings and facilities of a high standard. Each have a writing area and a personal safe.
